Janneke and Valentijn Vogel carry their life on a beautiful red caravan. Because of family roots they make Korean food. Last year was a big moment for them, as they travelled to Korea to find Janneke’s biological parents.
Janneke was a photographer and Valentijn an IT specialist at a marketing agency. They both gave up their previous carreers to devote their life to their varnished red beauty.
Travell around in their 1961 caravan, while cooking for people and getting to know them. As they say; it’s much harder to live like this but they just love every minute of it.
They are the Allegaartje Catering op Wielen “Jumble Catering on Wheels”. They decided to pin good Korean food on the map of Holland so they make Korean food with their own taste and interpretation.
They serve Pajeon which is a pancake-like Korean dish made from a batter of eggs, wheat flour, rice flour, green onions, and often other additional ingredients depending on the variety. Pajeon has many variants depending on the combination and domination of it's ingredients.
Their other speciality is Gimbap or kimbap which is a popular Korean Dish made from steamed white rice (bap) and various other ingredients, rolled in gim (sheets of dried laver seaweed) and served in bite-size slices.
